MANNA Freedom 2015 Short Term Mission Trips
Team Members Urgently Needed For Short Term Mission Trips
MANNA Worldwide very effectively uses short term mission trips to accomplish our goals of rescuing children from the grip of poverty. We rely heavily on volunteer teams to serve and minister to the needs of underprivileged children around the world and volunteer labor helps us offset many, if not most of our construction costs. Thousands of compassionate sponsors, donors, partners and friends join us on international adventures every year to serve those less fortunate, relieve suffering and maximize the percentage of dollars going directly to support field operations abroad. As an organization, we depend on these pioneer travelers to maintain our ministries, encourage full-time field workers and come home with stories to tell about the great need and opportunity to make a difference, one child at a time. In other words . . . we need you and so do these kids.
What kind of short term mission trips are available?
MANNA Worldwide plans and facilitates 60-80 trips annually to almost 40 different countries. MANNA Freedom short term mission trips are associated with our work in the prevention of human trafficking. These trips are typically turn-key, low pressure excursions where most of the planning and logistics are handled for you by MANNA personnel. You will have very low stress in your preparation and be able to focus most of your energy into fundraising, prayer and ministry preparation. We handle the rest.
Our short term mission trips typically last between 7-14 days, but other opportunities are available and we encourage longer internships and even career missions. Costs will vary depending on the field and length of stay and could change due to fluctuating airline expenses. All of our trips are as economical as possible in order to encourage maximum team size. Everyone that travels with us will be covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy written by MANNA through our provider.
There are three basic types of trips, but many variations and hybrids are available. Our goal is to tailor make a trip that will help you to accomplish your group’s goals while meeting the specific needs of the children in our projects.
1.) Missions Exposure: These trips are designed to give the traveler a basic but complete view of life on the mission field, the culture of the region and the scope of the projects where we partner.
2.) Construction: We are always building something to support our project development and volunteer labor saves us hundreds of thousands of dollars every year that can be used to save kids’ lives.
3.) Ministry/Service: Whether it is conducting a youth camp, running a VBS, serving the children in one of our centers or launching a humanitarian effort for a local community, the need for humble servants never ends.
