Awareness & Fundraiser Events
Human trafficking is an enormous worldwide problem involving more than 27 million people. Most people are completely unaware of the scope and severity of this atrocity, some choose to ignore it. One of the most powerful ways to intervene on behalf of trafficking victims is to tell their story. But this is only the first step. Real change occurs when we engage our sphere of influence, organize and mobilize like-minded individuals to be intentional. Working with MANNA Worldwide through Operation Freedom, you can gain access to the ideas and resources necessary to save a life. Consider these ideas, create some of your own and contact us to get started today.
Some ideas to raise awareness are:
Exhibition Booths
School Assemblies
TAP (Teen Awareness Projects)-Summer Camps, Youth Events
Church Presentations
Start a Freedom Club at you school or university
Utilize creative arts to raise awareness: write a song, paint/draw a picture, create a video, conduct a drama
Fundraising: The best way to make a difference is to prevent trafficking from happening in the first place. A part of the financial resources that come through MANNA Worldwide for Operation Freedom are directed to Bridge to Life Homes that remove potential victims from exposure to the attempts of human traffickers to target them. Other funds are used to raise awareness and provide resources for Americans to protect themselves and their children by becoming educated on the issue and implementing safer lifestyles. You can help multiply our efforts by engaging your circle of influence to do what they can.
Here are some ideas, but we encourage your creativity. Let us know what you did so we can share your story and inspire others.
